Boston Celtics Panoramic Old Big Three / New Big Three (Small)

$129.99

In 1980, Bird's third season in Boston, the Celtics traded for center Robert Parish and drafted power forward Kevin McHale. With these three future Hall of Famers on the team the Celtics had a core in place to become a dominant team in the NBA and over the next six years the Big Three won three NBA championships. In 2007 it was like deja vu all over again when former Celtic point guard, General Manager Danny Ainge orchestrated two trades to bring in Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett. After nine seasons in Boston, Paul Pierce got the help he needed and in 2008 the new Big Three won their first championship together and returned the Celtics to glory! This panoramic photograph features the old Big Three and the new Big Three appearing on the same bench. The piece is professionally matted and framed using a black graphite mat with engraved v-groove completed in a mahogany frame. It measures 16" tall and 25" long. This item features a custom name plate that features a great Red Auerbach quote: “The Celtics are not a basketball team, they are a way of life."
